# How the Listings Work

What is listed, how each rating is shown, and how to check or fix any page.

## Places

720 places in Ohio and 588 places in Michigan and 439 places in Indiana and 282 places in Kentucky and 693 places in Pennsylvania that test for or treat sleep apnea are listed. 2,248 of them have an owner claimed listing. An owner can claim a listing and fix its details with the [update form](https://nightwells.com/update/).

## Clinicians

1,315 sleep medicine clinicians in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania are listed. Each page shows the clinician’s national provider number, so anyone can look it up on the public [NPI Registry](https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/). Nothing is published about a person beyond their professional details.

## Ratings

Each rating is shown with the platform it belongs to, one platform at a time. When platforms disagree by a lot, the place rises to the top of the list, because that is where reading the reviews matters most.

## What Is Never Done

- No review, rating, count or quote is ever written by NightWells
- No rating from one platform is averaged into another
- No number is published when two records disagree about it. It is left out and checked
- No placeholder phone number appears anywhere on the site

## Corrections

Use the [update form](https://nightwells.com/update/). A clinician asking to be removed is removed. A person is also reachable directly at [hello@nightwells.com](mailto:hello@nightwells.com).
